What we actually use it for
The outdoor pools, constantly. A hot week in Lungau ends at the BadeINSEL in Tamsweg or the pool in Mariapfarr, and the card covers one free entry at each of the region’s pools — Tamsweg, Mariapfarr, St. Michael, Mauterndorf and Rennweg.
Then the parks. The Outdoorpark und Wasserpark Lungau and SMARTY-Land are the reliable answer to an afternoon that needs a plan.
Lifts without a ticket queue
The card covers the Grosseckbahn in Mauterndorf, the Sonnenbahn Speiereck, the Fanningbergbahn, the Almbahn at Katschberg, and three lifts at Obertauern. A lift up and a walk down is the easiest good day in the mountains with children who are not yet hikers.
Culture on a wet day
Burg Mauterndorf is the headline: a real medieval castle with a knight’s tour, and admission is included. The regional museums are covered too, which makes a rainy morning cheap to solve.

Is the LungauCard included with the apartment?
Yes. Guests at Samspitze 4 get the LungauCard Summer free with the stay — you receive it once you are registered on arrival, and it is valid until you leave.
When is the LungauCard Summer valid?
The 2026 summer season runs from 22 May to 1 November 2026. Within that window the card covers your whole stay, arrival to departure.
What is free with it?
